Do you have any comments on the recent topic vote?

If Scotland and Northern Ireland leave the UK Would London leave too? Historically all three places were at one time separate countries from Wales and England. And there seems to be such a cultural divide. Looking at a Brexit voting map makes the divide quite clear.

Where's Dan?

This is a question about chinese history in general. Why was it that China didn't expand into neighbouring regions (Indochina, Korea, etc.)?

Have you found that making Extra History has taught you lessons about content creation that you don't think you would have learned making Extra Credits?

I got a question regarding an older show, The Broad Street Pump.
Just how much did John Snow have to learn to get the General Practitioner licence, Apothecary licence, the bachelor's degree and the doctorate in medicine in 1838 ?

Was one of the Walpole's involved in the Opium Wars ?

Would you like to do / do you know much about the Whiskey Rebellion?

FYI James, Cults and Daggers sucks. :(

Why do you keep using 'Honourable East India Company'? I understand it is the actual name of the company, but are you ever concerned about confusing people new to the series or period?

How does Indian tea production relate to the Opium trade and Opium wars?

Are you able to do Book Club tonight?

Would you ever like to make Extra History into a digital eBook? Or a Series of picture books?

Was one of the Walpole's involved in the Opium Wars ?

Has it been a different experience writing a series that isn't as heavily focused on the actions of a single person (or a small handful of people)? Would you like to do more of those in the future?

Why didn't anyone import opium to europe. Or did someone?

Regarding the First Opium war, how do you think things might have changed if the Chinese were more willing to modify their Junks with "modern" technology and less "ego"

What is fascinating and what would probably be very difficult would be to do a segment on the Proto-Civilizations, the domestication of animals and the fertile Crescent. Have you ever thought about doing the Fertile Crescent civilizations or possibly "Out of Africa"/agriculture since that is part of human history

When does the opium become more profitably than tea. I mean after full scale indian industrial tea production started of course.

I know I'm jumping the gun here. Do you see similarities between current events revolving around a new nationalism in the Anglosphere and the last generations of the Roman Republic?

One thing I'm always amazed at is how smart ancient civilizations were (Persians, Romans, Mayans, Aztecs, Greeks, etc.). This makes it all the more frustrating to hear people or media speaking out of an assumption that people before "now" were stupid. Are there any plans to for a topic around ancient civilizations and/or their technological advancements (Roman concrete, suspected contents of the Library at Alexandria, etc)?

Any predictions on The British political landscape in the next 2 years? Will Brexit fallout kill UKIP? How poor will old the older Welsh and English be if Scotland leaves with all of BJ's oil?

1
Stephen

Why are you using 'England' to refer to the UK in this series?

1
Maxwell

Is Brexit symptomatic of a trend of outsourcing Great Charitable Works and less about outsourcing jobs. I have noticed the global welfare focus over local welfare switch in how the Bill Gates over Andrew Carnegies give away their money. And I wondered if this is yet another reason why so many regular people feel disenfranchised and why the "elites" are so stunned.

In regards to episode 1 of the Opium War, I got the distinct sense that you feel that, if the Emperor (or perhaps the British) had been more willing to meet each other on the cultural issues, that a very large mess could possibly have been averted. Is that your opinion?
