Both African and Japanese cultures have immense differences with Western society in what constitutes a good story and aesthetic. As Western writer's do you find yourself going to certain lengths to reconcile these differences in style with your own? What are some of the challenges in transferring these different mediums (Japanese War Epic and Africa oral traditions) to that of a graphic novel?
